Renata de Dalmas is a true and studied jewelry maker – an artist. Her designs, while inspired from ornate objects of the past, remain pieces that exude modern day femininity and worldliness.
Born of Polish descent, Countess de Dalmas uses her talents to reflect her rich, cultured upbringing. After graduating from New York’s Barnard College, Columbia University she further studied Art History in Paris. She learned ancient goldsmithing techniques at the Jewelry Arts Institute in New York, before receiving her Graduate Diamonds Degree from the Gemological Institute of America. Her inherent style and elegance go hand in hand with her mastery as a craftswoman. Having traveled the world, Renata is inspired by classical architectural ornamentation, antique jewelry and spiritual symbols which are reflected in many of the motifs throughout her collection. Each piece is skillfully and individually handcrafted using a combination of ancient goldsmithing techniques and cutting-edge technology. She is both goldsmith and woman of the world: a dedicated worker yet a true bon vivant. Married to a Frenchman and mother of four, she spends her time between New York, Shelter Island and Paris.
Her jewelry has been featured on the pages of top fashion magazines such as Vogue, W, Elle, InStyle, and has been sold at Barney’s, Fragments, Peridot, Capitol, Kabiri and other fine jewelry stores internationally.
